Guidelines for Reviewers

Guidelines for Reviewers
Reviewers of the Academic Medical Journal are expected to follow high standards of professionalism, objectivity, and ethical conduct throughout the peer-review process.
Reviewers must have sufficient knowledge and experience in the subject area of the manuscript in order to provide an informed and constructive evaluation.
Reviewers must not have any conflicts of interest or personal relationships with the authors that could affect the objectivity of their review.
Review reports should be thorough, timely, and respectful, aimed at improving the quality, validity, and clarity of the manuscript.
Reviewers must refrain from inappropriate requests, including the coercive citation of their own work or that of the journal, unless academically justified.
If at any point a reviewer discovers that they lack the necessary expertise, or if a conflict of interest arises, they should immediately inform the editorial team so that another reviewer can be assigned.
Only manuscripts that meet the journal’s scientific and ethical standards will be accepted for publication.
